On October 28th, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research celebrated its annual Angel Ball in New York City. PARA’KITO, the innovators of all-natural mosquito protection products, contributed samples to be included in the event’s gift bags in honor of the beloved cause. The donations included 900 samples of the PARA’KITO Repellent clips, one of the company’s most popular products. The Mosquito Repellent Clips use breakthrough technology to ensure no adventures are interrupted by mosquitos. The easy to use clips are infused with natural oils that provide up to 15 days of constant protection in any zone or climate. Additionally, the clips are waterproof, easily adjustable and can be worn around the wrist or ankle or hung on a backpack, belt or stroller.
The black-tie event raised over 3 million dollars for young scientists working towards finding less toxic treatments for patients suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by Denise Rich in memory of her beloved daughter, Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who passed away from a rare form of leukemia at the age of 27. Gabrielle’s final wish was to create a foundation that would help develop better treatments for leukemia patients in efforts to prevent suffering and improve quality of life while being treated. Her mother carries on her strength and wisdom with Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and it’s signature event, The Angel Ball.
The event took place at Cipriani Wall Street and was hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter, Denise Rich, and her daughters, Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter. This year’s gala honored Amy and Brian France, Co-Owner, NASCAR and founders of the Luke & Meadow Foundation as well as Marc J. Leder, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Sun Capital Partners, Inc. The ball consisted of a highly anticipated live auction, dancing, and performances by the talented Patti LaBelle, Boy George, and Flo Rida. In attendance were celebrities and influencers including, Heidi Klum, Dee and Tommy Hilfiger, and Keke Palmer, all of whom came out to support the foundation. It was a gorgeous event, the venue was filled with floral decor and designed by the prestigious, Birch Event Design.
As the worldwide leader in natural mosquito protection, PARA’KITO was honored to be apart of the event.
